Ups and Downs but love all around.

It’s been a while since I’ve written on this blog, and I’ve got some connecting to do. These past six months have been a whirlwind of ups and downs, from the thrill of new experiences to the difficulty of facing adversity. So, grab your preferred drink, and let’s catch up!

The Boy landed an amazing entry-level job as a runner on a nationally broadcast news program. Impressive as that is, he has already been promoted to the dub room, paving the way for a bright future. In addition to this great news, he is dating a lovely young woman whose warm-hearted presence has captured the hearts of those around them.

In California, the winter months brought some wild weather, but luckily the state managed to weather the storms. Crime is out of control in California. It is so sad and disgusting.

What has kept me busy these past few months is exploring new hobbies and business ventures that keep me engaged. With the help of AI technology, I write children’s stories and create original illustrations to make fun and enriching journals and coloring books. In fact, some of my digital art creations sell well on various print-to-order sites. The possibilities are endless, and I eagerly await where this venture will take me. Diving into creative pursuits like these brings a sense of deep satisfaction and contentment.

After overcoming multiple difficulties with my previous Periodontist surgeon’s mistakes, I found a new surgeon who restored hope in being able to repair the mistakes made by the periodontist. Life is uncertain, but we can control how we respond. I remain dedicated to pushing forward and eventually getting my implants.

Dinner at Anderson Reserve in Sweet Idaho.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of having my sisters visit me here in Idaho. It was a special occasion because one of them had just received her citizenship, making it her first official visit as a US citizen. To celebrate her new status, we decided to have a special dinner at a restaurant in the tiny town of Sweet, Idaho. It was a scenic drive up to the beautiful and remote ranch restaurant. The landscape was so vast and impressive. Despite the nippy weather, we enjoyed good food, great company, a breathtaking view, and the quietness of the beautiful surroundings.
Celebrating my sister’s citizenship with a special dinner in Idaho was a night to remember. The food was delicious and the company was outstanding. I’m grateful to have been a part of my sister’s accomplishment.

As we reach certain milestones and travel through life, we begin to see the value of spending time with those we love, prioritizing our wellness and health. Lovie, for instance, is excited too reunite with old friends and family at his 40th high school reunion.
But life doesn’t always go according to plan. Our family in Wisconsin is coping with unexpected health diagnoses, caring for elderly relatives, and confronting a divorce. My sister-in-law is one such fighter. Though battling a life-threatening illness, she remains strong and resilient, inspiring all around her. My mother-in-law was caring for her brother, but she had no choice but to move him from the hospital to a senior living facility to ease his pain. Even with fresh challenges like my sister-in-law’s recent surgery and my mother-in-law’s sister’s broken hip, we keep our spirits up, taking one day at a time.
After the reunion, Lovie’s eye surgery has to be done before we celebrate his sister’s second wedding and then leave for Iceland. I am so excited. I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights. We will be traveling first class and we are hoping that our boy can join us. We were unable to take a graduation trip last year so this is our gift to him. Lovie has also booked a trip to Texas for April next year. We will be going to see the total Solar eclipse. He was already booked the air tickets and hotel. The anticipation of the trips is very exciting.
Life is unpredictable, but no matter what comes our way, we can choose to respond with resilience, adaptability, positivity, and purpose. Let’s keep learning and supporting each other.

Thank you for taking a moment to read my words and for your support. Until next time, take care, and stay curious!
