So this day did not pan out anything like I had anticipated. It was complete and utter bullshit. I offered to take the van in for an oil change. It is a mear 2-3 miles from home. I was about a mile from the oil change and the car tire blew and so badly it was undrivable. I was then stuck in driving lane (this road is a nightmare, to begin with, and during the day the parking lane becomes a driving lane. )I put on the hazards and moved away from the car. Bay Area clowns drive like fools. I had more than one screech to a halt behind my car and move into the other lane. One fool was bitching at me. Yes, clown, I woke up this morning thinking about how I could annoy as many people as possible. AAA took 90 minutes to arrive. All my plans for the day were shot to hell. Luckily the tire place was in the same vicinity. So I spent another hour having the tires replaced and then off to get the oil changed. I had wanted to go to Michaels and Trader Joes so I scrapped Michaels and went to Trader Joes to pick up a few groceries. By the time I got home, it was almost 3pm after leaving home at 10am. A whole day wasted. I came home so dejected and worn out. I set out this morning already worn out. I actually crashed on the couch for an hour. I am very weepy. The kiddo signed his acceptance to Tufts last night. It is now all too real. I am getting very sad already. We are busy booking the plane tickets for the big trip to school in August. Yikes. As they say…Shit is getting real.
No designs today. I am not inspired at all. Tomorrow I have a busy day. I have school in the AM, Nutritionist in the PM and school in the evening. With travel times etc I will be busy for most of the day. Voting started on the fabric of the week contest on Spoonflower. I am making an effort to enter every week. I think to practice and trying different themes really enhances your abilities and spurs your imagination.
This was a whiney blog. My apologies but it was a crappy start to a new week. It can only get better from here.
